State ceremonies to mark decade since Rabin murder

The state ceremonies commemorating the 10-year anniversary since the assassination of prime minister Yithak Rabin began Monday morning with a special shaharit morning prayer at the residence of President Moshe Katzav in Jerusalem. The special events were set to continue at 3 p.m. with a national memorial at Rabin's grave on Mt. Herzl, and a commemorative session of the Knesset two hours later. Many world leaders arrived in Israel to commemorate the first decade since the murder, including former US president Bill Clinton, who spoke at a memorial rally Saturday night, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
