State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss has requested to be provided VIP protection by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency,) Channel 2 reported Monday.
VIP protection is reserved for top government officials such as the prime minister, the president, the Knesset chairman and the Supreme Court president.
No specific reason was given for the request.
