State comptroller's office budget cut by NIS 1.5m

The Knesset Finance Committee on Wednesday authorized a NIS 1.5 million budget cut to the State Comptroller's Office, allocating only NIS 215 million, Israel Radio reported. State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss did not attend the committee discussion, but expressed support for the budget cut, as funding to all government ministries has been reduced. Lindenstrauss also thanked all members of the Knesset's State Control Committee for supporting him during Tuesday's discussion on the upcoming report on the Home Front's management last summer.
