The strike in junior high- and high-schools throughout Israel will continue, Army Radio reported on Thursday morning.
On Sunday and Monday the strike will not be held because of the educational importance of Holocaust Day, which occurs this year on Monday.
The student strike, affecting all academic higher education institutions, also continues on Thursday.
Student representatives said there was no apparent progress on their issue, and that the end of the strike was not yet in sight.
