The Secondary School Teachers Organization (SSTO) instructed teachers in high schools and in some junior-high schools to strike on Friday, Israel Radio reported.
The strike will be a one-day "warning strike" and will not include Gaza periphery settlements.
SSTO head Ran Erez said that the National Labor Court's decision not to extend an injunction forcing teachers to work was a "victory for teachers."
The SSTO's struggle, Erez said, would include holding a complete school strike.
Education Ministry Director-General Shmuel Abuav said that the state recalled its request that the court extend the injunction in order to "allow serious negotiations" to take place.
According to Israel Radio, Teachers were demanding a 20 percent salary raise before agreeing to sign a reform agreement of any kind.
