Striking firemen refuse to fight blaze in north

A brush fire was blazing outside a school near Kibbutz Gesher Haziv in northern Israel Wednesday morning, but western Galilee firefighters refused to go to the scene because they were striking. According to the firefighters, Army Radio reported, they had not received their salaries. Firefighters said that no person's life or damage to property were at risk, and that was the reason they decided not to extinguish the fire.
