The strike called for Israel's universities on Sunday that would have prevented the second semester of the academic year from opening has been called off, Channel 10 reported.
The student unions have urged a strike in protest of the Shochat Committee's proposed changes to tuition rates.
High school pupils, however, will still find themselves at loose ends on Sunday, as the Secondary School Teachers strike that began on Thursday was scheduled to continue.
