Dozens of students stormed into the Student Union meeting held Sunday at Derby College in Or Yehuda to discuss the Prime Minister's Office's compromise offer. The students heckled NUIS chairman Itay Shonshein, calling upon him to resign. Shonshein fled the premises.
Heads of student unions had decided to relocate the meeting from Ramat Gan to Or Yehuda to prevent students from dissolving the meeting. Both student groups wanted to participate in the vote, and a compromise was reached whereas five members of each group would be permitted to participate in the deliberations.
