Students reject gov't deal; may end strike anyway

National student unions have rejected Wednesday a deal made following negotiations conducted with the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday to bring an end to the 33-day student strike that has paralyzed Israeli higher education. Students said that there were differences between certain verbal agreements reached during Tuesday's meeting and the actual content of the written document. Students said however, that they would consider ending the strike Wednesday afternoon, saying that their struggle could no longer produce results.
