Survivors' advocate hopes for deal within 10 days

Noah Flug, chairman of the Center of Organizations of Holocaust Survivors, said Tuesday evening that he believed that survivors' advocacy groups and the government would reach an agreement on benefits within 10 days, at the most. Flug spoke with Army Radio after a meeting with officials from the Prime Minister's Office during which both sides outlined their main concerns. While no exact numbers have been mentioned, the government appears to be leaning towards awarding benefits to Holocaust survivors according to their financial needs.
