Two large weapon caches were found in the Golan heights over the weekend. The weapons were found in bunkers that served the Syrian armed forces prior to the Six-Day War in 1967. The IDF bomb squad identified hundreds of mortar shells, grenades and other ammunition within the caches, Army Radio reported. The road connecting between the upper Beit Hameches, and Mashut junctions and the Jilaboun Nature Reserve will be closed during certain time periods to allow the controlled detonation of the ammunition.
