Tel Aviv businesses to remain open until 9:00 p.m.

The Interior Ministry this week approved an amendment to the bylaw for the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality that will permit businesses in the city to remain open until 9:00 p.m. With the approval, non-food-related businesses will be permitted to remain open past the previous 7:00 p.m. deadline without having to file special paperwork with the municipality or pay the municipal nighttime operation fee. City officials said the new extended deadline would give the municipality more flexibility in implementing its "business-friendly" policy.
