Tel Aviv municipality takes Ofra Strauss to court

The Tel Aviv municipality asked Tel Aviv Magistrate Court to force multi-millionare Ofra Strauss to vacate municipal property she allegedly invaded, Army Radio reported. According to the lawsuit, Strauss and her husband Adi Keizman invaded municipal territory of about 700 square meters. The municipality said the two built a birdhouse and a jacuzzi on the ground, encircling it by a metal fence. The municipality also said that the couple had already promised to vacate the land and demolish the buildings, but have not done it yet. Ofra Strauss is considered to be one of the most powerful businesswomen in Israel. She runs Strauss-Elite, Israel's second-largest food company and the world's eighth top coffee seller, with an estimated annual revenue of $856 millions.
