Tests show Kibbutz Grofit chicken coop not contaminated with bird flu

The chicken coop in Kibbutz Grofit is not contaminated with bird flu, the Agricultural Ministry announced Friday. Tests showed that the virus which was discovered in the blood of one of the chickens was not the dangerous strain. On Thursday, the ministry had ordered a closure of the chicken coop in the Arava kibbutz, fearing an outbreak of the virus.
