Third bulldozer victim laid to rest

Jan Relevy, 68, had been about to become a grandfather for the first time, but instead became the third victim of the bulldozer terror attack on Wednesday. Relevy, from the Gilo neighborhood in Jerusalem, was buried in Givat Shaul cemetery on Thursday. He was the youngest child in a family of seven children and his mother passed away just a few months after he was born. One of Relevy's sisters raised him and he and his father made aliya from Iran in 1949, following a stay of several years in India with the family. Relevy, an installer of air conditioners, was killed in his car by the bulldozer driver from east Jerusalem, Husam Taysir Dwayat, during another day of work. His family members said he was an intellectual who loved photography and found comfort in carving in his spare time. "He was one of the most special people I have ever met, [who] always thought of other people," Relevy's nephew Nati Avner told Ynet. "His family was his joy. We are all shocked at his death." Relevy is survived by a wife, two daughters and a son.
