The threat of a general strike on Wednesday by the Histadrut was retracted Sunday evening.
In a meeting between the head of the budget branch of the Finance Ministry, Histadrut Chairman, and the Chairman of the Interior Ministry, an agreement was reached whereby the salaries of workers for the various local authorities, different religious counsels, and city firefighter unions would be paid.
