Fatal crashes occur in north, Negev and on Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway.

Three people were killed and several wounded in traffic accidents across Israel on Friday morning.
A woman was killed in a collision between a motorbike and a car on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway near the Shoresh Interchange.
MDA teams pronounced the woman, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was lightly injured.
In an incident in the northern Beduin village of Muawiya near Umm el-Fahm, a 60-year-old woman was killed when a truck hit her as she crossed the road.
In a third accident, a woman was killed in a collision between two cars at Tel Sheva Junction in the Negev. The accident occurred when one of the cars failed to stop at a red light. The woman's 12-year-old son and her husband were moderately injured and two passengers of the other vehicle were lightly injured. MDA staff evacuated the four to a nearby hospital.
Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz presented his program for combating road accidents on Monday at a symposium of safety officers at Kibbutz Shfeyim. The program focused on stronger enforcement of driving laws and stiffer penalties for violations.
'It is unacceptable that accidents kill some 450 people a year and cost the country NIS 12 billion annually,' Mofaz told the audience. 'I won't let irresponsible people hurt other citizens,' the minister added. 'I intend to do everything within my powers to stop this killing,' Mofaz declared.
12 pedestrians have been killed throughout the country since the beginning of the week and 214 people have died in traffic accidents since the start of the year.
