Tourism Minister Avraham Hirchson considered on Saturday renewing his office's contact with evangelical preacher Pat Robertson.
Last week, Robertson stirred a great deal of controversy when he claimed that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was a punishment from God for handing over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians.
In response to the preacher's comments, the Tourism Ministry cancelled a $50 million deal with Robertson, according to which the government was to provide land and infrastructure for a Christian Heritage Center in the Galilee.
Following a letter of apology that Robertson sent Sharon and his family on Wednesday, Hirchson considered resuming the initiative, Army Radio reported.
