Police opened the Tunnels Road to traffic in all directions at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.
The road, however, remained blocked by virtually motionless traffic from the southern Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo all the way to El-Khader near Bethlehem.
Earlier in the morning, a collision of two trucks on the road, which connects Jerusalem and Gush Etzion, forced Judea and Samaria Police to close it in both directions.
