Two Al Aksa Martyrs' Brigades members were reportedly killed Tuesday in an IAF air strike on a car in the Gaza Strip. Another person was reported seriously wounded, Zaka said. The 2 killed, identified as Mohammed Abu Shariya and Suheil Al Bakker, were both from the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City and were senior commanders of the group. They were transporting weapons and rockets at the time of the strike. This brought the number of Al Aksa operatives who have been killed in 4 recent assassinations, to 9. Kassam rockets continued to rain down on Israel on Tuesday. A rocket fired from Beit Hanoun in the Gaza Strip landed in the western Negev. A second rocket, which was fired from the al-Tatra area, in the Gaza Strip, landed in a Palestinian area. No one was wounded in either attack, although damage was caused to the house where the first rocket landed in northern Sderot. Furthermore, two unexploded rockets were found in the western Negev, one in a cowshed and one in a soccer field.

Earlier Tuesday, IDF troops shot and killed a senior Islamic Jihad fugitive. Ahmed Radad was killed in a shootout with soldiers. Next to his body an M-16 and a pistol were found. Two soldiers were wounded, one moderately and one lightly, by Palestinian gunfire during the operation. About ten army jeeps entered the city before dawn and surrounded a house where Radad, local residents said. Initially, the IDF negotiated with the Palestinians in the building; some of the barricaded men then surrendered. However, the Palestinians in the building then opened fire at the Israeli troops, wounding two soldiers. The IDF returned fire. Israel Radio reported that this Islamic Jihad infrastructure was a relatively new one, which was previously unknown. It had repeatedly attempted to smuggle explosive vests into Israel in an attempt to commit acts of terrorism. Elsewhere, security forces arrested four Palestinian fugitives west of Ramallah. In the Gaza Strip overnight, a bridge located near Beit Hanun and six access roads in northern Gaza were hit in a series of air strikes conducted after midnight. Ever since Friday's Kassam rocket attack the IAF has been launching daily assaults targeting Kassam rocket launching sites. In three separate air strikes in the past three days, seven Palestinian terrorists affiliated with Fatah's al-Aksa Brigades and Islamic Jihad have been killed.
