Two basketball fans indicted for firecracker attack

Two basketballs fans were indicted Monday in a Jerusalem court for allegedly hurling a firecracker in a Jerusalem stadium during last week's Hapoel Jerusalem-Hapoel Holon game. Yossi Malach, 20, and Nir Reuven, 18, were charged with illegally carrying a weapon and causing serious injury for the November 11 attack at Malha Arena. A security guard at the stadium who nearly lost three of his fingers on one hand after picking up the explosive device underwent nine hours of surgery to save his severely damaged hand. The two suspects have been remanded in custody though next week after the Supreme Court rejected their appeals against their continued detention.
