Two elderly pedestrians killed by bus in Jerusalem

An Israeli couple in their 80's were hit and killed by a Jerusalem bus Thursday while crossing the middle of a city street, police and rescue officials said. The elderly couple were mortally injured in the early-afternoon accident involving an Egged bus on the city's Rehov Yeshayahu, and died of their wounds at Hadassah-University Hospital at Ein Kerem later in the evening. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
