Two Palestinians infiltrate into Israel

Two Palestinians infiltrated into Israel from the northern Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon. They were picked up on the Israeli side of the security fence, close to Kibbutz Mefalsim, after cutting through it. The IDF spokesperson told the Jerusalem Post that the two were most likely unarmed Palestinians trying to sneak into Israel to work illegally and not terrorists. The military, police and Shin Bet (Israel Security Services) had earlier set up roadblocks to try to track down the two men. Officers were also ordered to tighten security at entrances to the West Bank. Traffic congestion due to the roadblocks has been noted in the area from which the pair entered Israel. Yaakov Katz contributed to this report.
