Two teens confess to Netanya murder

18-year-old Leonid Yardilov was stabbed to death in a brawl on Thursday night.

Two teens gave themselves up to police on Friday, admitting their guilt for the previous night's murder of 18-year-old Leonid Yardilov in Netanya. The two were immediately arrested on suspicion of stabbing Yardilov to death during a brawl in the city. Police said Thursday night that they knew the identities of the attackers and repeatedly urged them to give themselves up. Several other suspects were questioned over the stabbing by police officers at the their Sharon region central headquarters. From the initial investigation of the incident, it emerged that the fight was arranged between two gangs of youths following an insulting remark made earlier this week towards a female friend of one of the teens. Yardilov was evacuated in critical condition to Netanya's Laniado Hospital where he died of his wounds.
