Two women were lightly wounded Wednesday when a barrage of mortar shells were fired from Gaza towards the District Coordination Offices (DCO)at the Erez Crossing. Hamas's military wing claimed responsibility for the attack. Two of the mortars landed at the crossing while four landed nearby. Another mortar landed in greenhouse in a neighborhood north of the Gaza Strip. Several people suffered from shock. On Tuesday, a Kassam rocket fired from northern Gaza damaged a greenhouse in Sderot. Two more rockets landed near the central Gaza security fence in the evening without causing damage, the IDF confirmed. No casualties from those attacks were reported. Also, a military source on Tuesday said the terrorists might step up their efforts to fire rockets, as they have done during previous IDF incursions into the coastal strip.
