Uri Binamo prevented two suicide bombings, not one

When Lt. Uri Binamo was killed barring a suicide bomber at a checkpoint outside Tulkarm on December 29, he in fact prevented a double suicide attack that was to have taken place in a populous area in the center of the country, initial findings of an IDF probe revealed. According to the report that was presented to OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Naveh on Tuesday, aside from the suicide bomber that was killed in the blast, the two other killed Palestinians who were initially thought to be innocent civilians were actually another suicide bomber and his driver. In the coming days, the findings will be presented to Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz.
