Avni: We will not leave Gilad in Gaza; says it was brave of Haran to support release of family's killer.

Omni Avni, father of Karnit Goldwasser, assured on Wednesday that the support network which helped bring Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev back to Israel, will continue to function until kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit is returned from the Gaza Strip.
"One word for the Schalit family: We started [the way as] one big family of three, Goldwasser, Regev and Schalit," Avni began. "Goldwasser and Regev will have the funerals tomorrow. We will not leave Gilad [in Gaza]. When [we're] ready we will join Schalit's family and together we will bring Gilad home."
Speaking of Smadar Haran, who lost her husband Danny and her two daughters Einat, 4, and Yael, 2, in the 1979 terrorist attack in Nahariya led by terrorist Samir Kuntar, Avni said that it was brave of her to support a deal which brought the release of her family's killer.
"She understood with this exchange which led to the return of the two men, Kuntar has finally been involved in something positive," he said.
