Woman arrested for neglect of her two-year-old son

A resident of Nazareth Illit was arrested Saturday morning under suspicion of criminal neglect of her two-year-old son. Local police said that the woman went out to enjoy the local nightlife at 11:00 p.m. Friday night, leaving her toddler son alone in the apartment. She returned home inebriated, and noticed that she had lost the key to her house. The woman then contacted municipal authorities, and police and fire fighters were summoned to the apartment. Her two-year-old son was found crying and shaking inside the apartment and was turned over to child welfare authorities. The suspect was expected to be brought before a magistrate's court on Saturday evening for an extension of her remand.
