Woman fatally shot in West Bank settlement

Husband is suspect, says wife shot herself with his gun during a heated argument; couple had four young children; police investigating.

The body of a 30-year-old woman was found on Friday outside her home in the West Bank settlement of Beit Dani, near Jerusalem. She had been shot in the head.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and began questioning the woman's husband, himself a police officer, under suspicion of having fatally shot his wife.

According to Army Radio, the woman's husband told police that his wife had grabbed his gun during an argument and shot herself, calling it suicide.
The couple had been part of their religious community for several years and no other incidents had been reported.
The police investigation is ongoing. The woman's parents are said to be looking after the couple's children.
