Woman loses baby in Nablus firefight

Palestinian, who was 7 months pregnant, shot as IDF troops clash with gunmen.

A pregnant Palestinian woman was seriously wounded on Thursday morning in Nablus after she was shot by IDF soldiers, Palestinian sources reported. The woman, who was seven months pregnant, lost her baby. An IDF soldier and a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager sustained light wounds in the incident. According to the IDF, Golani troops spotted several armed Palestinians in the city's Ein Beit Ilma refugee camp and a gun battle erupted. Meanwhile, a six-year-old boy broke his hand when he jumped from the window of his home after going into shock due to one of three Kassam rockets that landed in Sdorot on Thursday morning. The boy was taken to Barzilay Hospital in Ashkelon. The three rockets, fired from the Gaza Strip, landed in open territory in the western Negev town. Apart from the boy, no one else was wounded and no damage was reported.
