Written driving examinations to be made tougher

The Transportation Ministry was expected to make the written driving examination tougher for prospective drivers, with more stringent monitoring to detect cheating. The new system would also be computerized to a greater degree. Transportation Minister Meir Sheetrit promised that the new system would cost less than the current one since fewer personnel would be required to conduct the exams, and would be more efficient as the examinees would not have to stand in lines. The new system was expected to be implemented within less than six months, Army Radio reported.
