Following the High Court of Justice ruling Thursday that the Tal Law was valid, Shas Chairman Eli Yishai said that the Court recognized the fact that the setting of a generalized criteria for society as a whole as to what should be considered a contribution [to the state], is a recipe for the deepening of conflicts.
"Rather than affixing Israeli society in crises, the High Court recognized at the last moment that the preservation of the learning sector is in the best interest of the entire country," he said.
