Yishai: Shas will back bill obligating referendum on territory withdrawal

Shas chairman Eli Yishai said Monday that his party would support an amendment to a bill which would obligate a referendum on decisions to withdraw from any of Israel's sovereign territories.
"The amendment is vital and necessary," Yishai said at a meeting of the Golan Lobby in the Knesset. "Talk of withdrawing from the Golan Heights causes great damage to the area's inhabitants."
