A 12-year-old Jewish boy was under arrest Monday after he was caught breaking into a car in Jerusalem and then entering a city yeshiva to ask for money, police said.
The suspect, who has a past history of theft, was remanded in custody for four days Monday by a Jerusalem court.
Officials were looking for an alternate detention site for the minor.
