Bush welcomes call of the shofar and wishes Jews a "shana tova"

US President George W. Bush welcomed the call of the shofar and wished world Jewry a "shana tova" as part of his annual Rosh Hashanah greetings ahead of the holiday, which begins Wednesday night. "As Jewish people around the world come together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, it is a chance to look to the new year with hope and faith," he stated in a presidential message.
