Hadad sings at Olympics ceremony in Upper Nazareth

Some 3,000 people attended the concert, among them Limmud families, participants in the Jewish Agency’s Masa program.

Sarit Hadad (center) sang at the closing ceremony of the Limmud FSU Olympics – an educational program for Russian-speakers – in Upper Nazareth on Friday.
She was joined on stage by Limmud founder Chaim Chesler (left); Holocaust survivor, deputy chairman of the Claims Committee and former British weightlifting champion Ben Helfgott (behind Hadad); Alexander Gadalkin, chairman of Upper Nazareth’s community centers; and three-time European pole-vault champion Aleksandr Averbukh (right).
Some 3,000 people attended the concert, among them Limmud families, participants in the Jewish Agency’s Masa program from the former Soviet Union, members of youth clubs from the Galilee and residents of Upper Nazareth.
