Russian President Vladimir Putin sent Rosh Hashana greetings to the country's Jewish community via its chief rabbis, Berel Lazar and Adolph Shayevic. "Russian followers of Judaism... are making a valuable contribution toward the strengthening of stability and concord, development of a constructive public dialogue" in Russia, Putin said.
