Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski will need to stand on his tiptoes when he lights the Hanukkia outside city hall on Tuesday night.
It is not that the mayor is a short man.
The height of the towering nine-branched candelabrum - built by rappelling from the roof of the Jerusalem Municipality's building - is that of a six-storey building, the city said Monday.
The elaborate Hanukka menorah, which will be situated in the city's Safra Square during the holiday, was designed by the artist David Soussana, and was donated by Michel and Robert Assaraf from France.
