Shoppers in Beersheba's market will soon be getting some relief from the sun. According to www.local.co.il, Polygal Industries, which produces polycarbonate sheeting, has contracted to provide 2,500 meters' worth of coverage for the open market.
Haim "Choo-choo" Sternberg, manager of the Israeli market for Polygal, said that the type of sheeting selected for the Beersheba project will allow the maximum amount of natural light through while blocking heat. The use of the Polygal sheeting is also expected to lower heating and cooling expenses in the market area.
The project cost is estimated at approximately NIS 1 million, and the work is slated for completion this summer.
