A three-year-old lioness rejected by the pride at the Ramat Gan safari has found a new home at Haifa zoo - and has been reunited with her older sister in the process, reports Yediot Haifa. Gaia had been rejected by the dominant lions in her pride and was in danger of being killed by them when the Haifa zoo offered to adopt her. She was tranquilized and placed in a special cage for the drive north last week. There, zoo-keepers were delighted to reunite her with her elder sister Gov, from whom she had been separated two years ago. She was also introduced to Gov's mate, 12-year-old Simba, and the two sisters will now live with him in a spacious enclosure - an ideal family arrangement from a lion's point of view.
