Law students at Hod Hasharon's Sha'arei Mishpat College of Legal Studies distracted the secretary and stole the hard disk from the college's computer system in an apparent attempt to see their examination results, reports Ha'ir-Tzomet Hasharon. While several students chatted with the secretary, others crawled under the desk and dismantled the hard drive, all without anyone noticing. According to the report, the students were caught the following day and admitted their crime. They were hauled before a college disciplinary committee, but police were not called in and it was decided not to expel them. A college spokesman said the college was investigating and was taking the matter very seriously. But at least one other student said it was outrageous that law students should get away with a crime of this seriousness. "It is not possible that the criminal of today can be the lawyer of tomorrow, who will preserve the law and justice. This event damages the good name of the college and will hurt the public in the future," the student said.
