Police are investigating a possible wave of poisoned street drugs after a 24-year-old known addict was found dead next to the needle he had injected in the Hadar neighborhood last week, reports Yediot Haifa.
He was the third addict to be found dead from suspected poisoning in as many weeks in the same area. Police say dealers sometimes poison drugs to exact revenge on thieves who steal drugs from them, but the poisoned drugs often end up being sold to addicts uninvolved in the thefts.
