The long-desired religious boys' high school will not be built in the industrial zone of Ra'anana after all, and the city will now try to find a new site, reports Ha'ir-Tzomet Hasharon.
The foundation stone for the new school was laid in the industrial area back in May, but parents have now reportedly objected to the site, saying it is too close to mechanics' workshops. Parents in Ra'anana have long been pressing the city for a religious boys' high school to match the existing girls' religious high school. Two seventh-grade religious boys' classes began functioning temporarily at the city's music center at the start of the school year, and the hopes are that they will have a permanent home next year.
