Eighteen new combined recycling bins have been placed in schools around Tel Aviv and Jaffa to encourage students and residents to recycle bottles, paper, tin cans and batteries, reports www.local.co.il. Each of the new bins contains four different openings leading to separate containers for the different items. A municipal spokesman said the city would test the bins' efficiency and the public's willingness to use them over the next year, and would then decide whether to expand the project to additional locations.
