3 US soldiers killed in attacks around Baghdad

Three US soldiers were killed by separate attacks in Baghdad and surrounding areas, the military said Sunday. A roadside bomb killed a Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldier and wounded two others as they were conducting combat operations Saturday in western Baghdad, according to a statement. A Task Force Lightning soldier also died of wounds sustained from an explosion that occurred Saturday near the soldier's vehicle during operations in Diyala province, a volatile area northeast of Baghdad, the military said separately. Two other soldiers were wounded in the attack.
