6 US soldiers, journalist dead in roadside bombing

Six US soldiers and a civilian journalist were killed Sunday in a roadside bombing northeast of Baghdad, the military said, raising to 12 the number of troop deaths reported over a three day period.
Two other Task Force Lightning soldiers were wounded in the attack in Diyala province, the military said.
The statement did not provide more details or give the nationality of the journalist who died.
