Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is expected to arrive in the Gaza Strip Thursday in order to oversee the implementation of the cease-fire agreement between Fatah and Hamas, which went into effect last night, Israel Radio reported.
Even after the cease-fire, shooting incidents have not entirely abated, and three additional people have been killed. However, since Wednesday night a relative quiet has been maintained in Gaza.
