Jordan's King Abdullah II held talks with the emir of Kuwait on Monday, as moderate Arab leaders sought to find a way to stop the fighting between Israel and Hizbullah.
The talks between the king, who arrived Monday, and Sheik Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah would focus on "reaching a unified Arab position on the continuing Israeli aggression on Lebanon," the official Kuwait News Agency reported before the meeting.
Kuwait has quietly blamed the Iranian-backed Hizbullah for the current violence in Lebanon.
Shortly before his departure for Kuwait on Monday, King Abdullah told a delegation of US Congress members in Amman that there could be no peace in the Middle East "until there is a just solution to the Palestinian cause," the royal press office said in a statement.
