Al-Qaida in Iraq leader announces new offensive against US troops

A Washington-based group that monitors militant online forums says the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq has vowed in an Internet audiotape to launch a new, one-month offensive against US troops. The SITE group says Abu Hamza al-Muhajir has said al-Qaida in Iraq will dedicate the American casualties to US President George W. Bush in the hour-long audiotape titled "The Paths to Victory. Al-Muhajir is also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri. He has been the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq since Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a US air strike northeast of Baghdad in 2006.
