At least 2 dead in Baghdad suicide car bombing

A suicide car bomb exploded outside a children's hospital in western Baghdad Monday, killing at least two civilians and wounding 11 people, including seven policemen, officials said. Police believe the car, driven by a suicide bomber, had been targeting a passing convoy carrying a police colonel. The colonel was among the injured. It was not immediately clear if any of the people injured had been inside the hospital at the time of the explosion. Authorities sealed off the area, and no further details were immediately available.
